The Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Vocational Studies qualification is part of a level 1 full-time study programme and consists of mandatory and optional units. In order to achieve the qualification, students must achieve across all five units.
This programme will support you to develop your skills and confidence, improve your maths and English skills (where necessary), enhance your citizenship skills and develop vocationally relevant skills in the key areas of ICT. The programme has been designed to ensure that you develop the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to progress. Successful completion of this course leads towards a nationally recognised qualification and allows you to progress into employment in the ICT sector or to a level 2 programme in further education .

Additionally if you have not achieved a grade 4 or level 2 functional skill in Maths and English you continue to work towards achieving this at college. The study programme also includes personal development, work experience and enrichment.
Times of Delivery
The sessions will be timetabled over approximately 3-4 days which will also include maths, English, digital skills and personal development sessions.

Teaching and Assessment
All theory sessions will be delivered in classrooms, practical sessions will be delivered in the workshop. Assessment will be internally set and conducted through assignments, portfolios, observation and question sessions.
You could progress to a Level 2 course at NCD in eSports, Information Technology or Games Development.
