If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, not enrolled at another educational institution and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips.

This two-year T-Level programme has been developed to meet industry needs, and is the equivalent to three A-Levels.
Delivered by lecturers with extensive industry experience, this T-Level course will also be supported by significant employer interaction, to encourage you to embrace the experiences of working in the adult nursing sector.
Entry Criteria
You must hold five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including maths, English and a science subject.
Additional Costs
You will be required to purchase a tunic for all practical and work-based activities. This tunic can be purchased directly from our supplier at a cost of approximately £20 (plus P&P).

Infection prevention and control in health specific settings

Teaching and Assessment
Teaching will include a variety of classroom based sessions, self-study and workplace learning activities.
Assessment is both formative and summative.
Formative assessments aim to support your learning in preparation for summative assessment. They will include peer assessment, self-assessment and tutor assessment.
Summative assessments are conducted by the awarding body. They will include synoptic projects, an employer-based project and exam.
Your industry placement is assessed by your work-based supervisor and your tutor. You will be graded based on your performance in the workplace.
You will complete two written examinations and an Employer-set Project (ESP).

At NCD, we have strong links with a variety of leading employers within the sector.
As a T-Level student at NCD, you will benefit from access to the knowledge and experience of industry professionals. We will welcome a range of employers on campus, and will be invited on visits to the workplace.
Placement
T-Levels include an enhanced industry placement for you to gain the edge in the workplace.
You must complete a minimum of 315 hours industry placement. To demonstrate a threshold competence in adult nursing, you will be observed during your industry placement.
