Age 16-18
FREE (If meet residency criteria and not enrolled at another educational institution).
If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, not enrolled at another educational institution and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips.
Age 19+
If you are aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, not enrolled at another educational institution and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years, your course could be free dependant on the level of the course and your eligibility criteria. Student Finance
If you are aged 19 or over and not eligible to get your course free, you could apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from the Student Loans Company to help towards the cost of some, or all, of your fees. If the amount of Advanced Learner Loan available to you is less than the Advanced Learner Loan Fee for your course, you would need to pay the difference. This course is aimed for people aged 19 years or over.
Enhance your skills and knowledge to prepare for a successful career in the beauty industry with this part-time course. From body massages, facial treatments and micro-dermabrasion to health and safety practices and client care, this course will ensure you are prepared to work in a salon.

Study Aims
This part-time beauty therapy course aims to build on your skills and knowledge developed at Level 2 to enhance your opportunities to succeed within the beauty industry.
Modules Studied
You will complete the following units:
Monitor and maintain health and safety practices in the salon
Promote and sell products and services to clients
Client care and communication in beauty related industries
Provide body massage
Provide facial electrotherapy treatments
Provide body electrotherapy treatments
Provide massage with pre-blended aromatherapy oils
Provide Indian head massage
Apply micro-dermabrasion
You may have the opportunity to learn additional skills, such as:
Hot stones
Body tanning
Competition skills.
Teaching and Assessment
Each unit will involve assignments and/or internal and external exams. You will be required to provide some clients and models throughout the year to work on, so that you can maximise your learning and explore the skills you have been learning.
The programme will combine a theory session and practical delivery and working on clients.
You will have the opportunity to attend Beauty workshops and learn more about the industry and meet employers.
You could progress to study on our part-time Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy Techniques, or progress into employment.
