Fire Futures – Preparation Pathway

The Fire Futures – Preparation Pathway is a 14-week preparatory programme designed to support you in successfully navigating the firefighter recruitment process.

Delivered in partnership between New College Durham and County Durham & Darlington Fire Service, you will undertake:

• Fitness training & mock recruitment assessments
• Safeguarding & Prevent training (accredited)
• Support with the Fire Service’s online recruitment process
• Employability skills: applications, interviews, communication, teamwork
• Wellbeing and Resilience Development

You could qualify for a guaranteed interview if you:

• Successfully complete the 14-week programme
• Successfully pass the Fire Service recruitment process (Registration, Online Assessments and Fitness Tests)
