Our performing arts students had a blast in London. The jampacked schedule over five days allowed the group to be tourists in between workshops and theatre tours and shows.

First up, the students toured the Globe Theatre before throwing themselves into a workshop. The group also took a tour of Drury Lane Theatre and the National Theatre, as well as enjoying seeing The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

Other live theatre visits included & Juliet and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s, Cinderella.  Even after being put through their paces in a workshop at Pineapple Dance Studio, the group were still eager to explore London. During their free time, the students visited Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Camden Town, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and 10 Downing Street.

Caisley Graham, Level 3 Performing Arts student, said:

“I loved every second of London! It was such a great and fun opportunity and I hope to live and work there.”

Faye Cunningham, Performing Arts Leader, commented:

“The students had a fantastic time. They immersed themselves in the centre of the theatrical world, and were a credit to New College Durham.”
