Our travel and tourism students jetted off to Lisbon for two weeks to experience the tourism industry in Portugal for themselves. The trip was supported by the 2021-2022 Turing Scheme.

Lauren, Ellie, Beth, Lucy and Ellie have enjoyed their visit to Libson - the enchanting alternative to Europe's more popular capitals. The vibrant capital offers the glorious summer sun, museums, pretty streets to explore and delicious food.

The group developed their knowledge and understanding in the classroom before visiting Lisbon. The trip allowed the girls to apply their knowledge and blossom.

Beth Turnbull commented:

“Lisbon was a great experience for us to see what it is really like working in another country and adapting to another culture. The euro youth visits were really interesting, to learn how to attract customers from all over the world.”

Laura Nixon said:

“I’m very grateful for such a great experience and opportunity. I learnt a lot about how people work abroad and adopted their way of living.”
